Forged Ember started with a simple belief: outdoor equipment should be built to last, designed with purpose, and made for people who actually use it.

Founded in Alberta, Canada, Forged Ember is a small, hands-on fabrication business creating rugged and functional products for outdoor cooking, camping, overlanding, and life around the fire.

This isn't a brand built around mass-produced products sitting in a warehouse. Our products begin as ideas, sketches, prototypes, pieces of steel, and time spent in the workshop.

They're designed, fabricated, assembled, tested, taken apart, modified, and tested again.

That's part of what Forged Ember is all about.

Where It Started

My professional background spans more than 20 years in the mining industry, working around heavy equipment and developing an appreciation for machinery and components that are durable, functional, serviceable, and built properly from the beginning.

Over the years, that same mindset found its way into something much more personal.

Forged Ember.

What started as an interest in designing and fabricating practical outdoor equipment grew into a range of products centred around one of the oldest gathering places there is — the fire.

Whether it's sitting around a fire with family and friends, cooking at a campsite, preparing a meal after a day outdoors, or simply enjoying a quiet evening in the backyard, some of our best memories are made around a flame.

I wanted to build products for those moments.

Designed Differently

There are plenty of fire pits, grills, and camp stoves available.

I didn't want to simply build another one.

The question became:

How can we make outdoor products stronger, smarter, more portable, and more versatile?

That philosophy can be seen throughout the Forged Ember range.

Products like the Nomad Fire Pit are designed to provide the experience and durability of a substantial steel fire pit while still being easy to disassemble, transport, and store.

The Nomad packs down to just under 3 inches (7.5 cm) thick, making it practical for the truck, trailer, RV, garage, or campsite.

It's an approach we continue to follow across our fire pits, portable grills, rocket stoves, and accessories:

Full-size performance. Compact transportation. Minimal complication.

Made, Not Mass Produced

Forged Ember products are manufactured in small quantities, with many products made to order.

Steel is cut, formed, fitted, assembled, inspected, and finished with attention to the details that matter.

Because we design, build, and use these products ourselves, development never really stops. If something can pack smaller, assemble easier, cook better, or simply work better, we'll look for a way to improve it.

We aren't interested in adding features just because they look good on a specification sheet.

Every feature should have a reason to exist.

Living in Alberta gives you a healthy appreciation for equipment that works when conditions aren't perfect.

Outdoor equipment gets transported, exposed to heat and cold, covered in dirt and ash, and occasionally knocked around.

Forged Ember is still growing.

Fire pits and outdoor cooking equipment are where the journey started, but we're continuing to develop new products, accessories, custom fabrication, wall art, and other ideas that combine practical engineering with distinctive Forged Ember design.

Everything carrying our name should share the same principles:
